(~2468 miles) and won't be back until the fall.

A very fun Sunday on Labor Day weekend. Brian B, Dave, Donna, Eric, Erin, Hallie, Janos, Leigh Ann and I went down to check out Coopers outside of Morgantown.

Fourth Trip out with the gang. Tried out a new lens which wasn't quite fast enough. Everyone is making great progress on the layback.

Brian, Leigh Ann, Shingo, Coby and our family went down to NRG the weekend of the 4th. Spent most of the trip trying out crack climbing...very different! Maren got on rock for the first time too!

Third time out with Exkursion, first time to the crag with the new camera. If I ever get around to reading the manual expect even better results :)

Second outing for the Exkursion class and some alumni show up too.

First time out this year with the gang at Krahlick. Shingo's class had fun; the alumni got to see each other; Bud Murphy's had pizza, wings and karaoke.

The 3rd Annual New River Rendezvous was held this weekend and had tons of activities. Slacklining, comps, clinics, parties. Just us and 700 of our climbing compatriots having a great time. Great job by NRAC and Water Stone Outdoors for organizing this event!

Brian B., Coby, Don, Jesse, LeighAnn, Shingo and I headed to upstate New York to camp and climb for a long weekend. LOTS of driving, LOTS of climbing and 10 degree nights all made for an interesting time.

Thanks to Jesse for the driving, the Noon Mark Diner for the banana pancakes, LeighAnn for the pasta, and Brian and LeighAnn for the tent space! All of it made it a very fun outing. Oh, and thanks to Arby's for still being open.

After the first time on small ice the week before,
we ventured out onto the bigger stuff. Very fun!
Don, Fred, Shingo and the 3 Brians spent the day out at Irishtown in Dunbar. The warming temps separated the column at the top so this was the last day this
flow was climbable.

Much pulling on plastic! The youth team was out in full force and looking good. Congratulations to all the winners as well as everyone who just plain tried their best.

Well, I finally tried ice climbing today!
Excellent weather and conditions most of the day.
We went out to Krahlick to climb some ice Brian Beckett
had scouted this week and had a blast.
This is the first winter sport I've enjoyed in a long time!

The Weather Channel promised 'cloudy and 60' so we
ventured down to Summersville to climb. It ended up being too damp so we just hiked. Met a really nice couple Siemay and Noah visiting from Ohio (they'd recently moved there from New Orleans) with their dog Chilly.
They came down to scope the area out for when the season

Maren was at a conference. Good thing there were helpful friends out there... the parent to kid ratio wasn't great for safety!
